FSFE Potteries / Lymelight Lanes
Lymelight Lanes is a small bowling venue next to (and above) the Vue cinema in the centre of the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme. We sometimes use this place for socials, particularly this is used by StaffsLUG for their annual Flörgåsbord! event which we and other local groups attend every year. The upstairs room of this venue is used, where there are 4 full size ten pin bowling lanes and enough space for 40 people for the room in general (with 6 to each lane if people want to play). The room also comes with plenty of comfortable new booths where people can drink and eat food (with QR codes so you can order food and drinks which will be brought to you).
When this venue is booked, everything listed above is for our exclusive use for the evening, essentially a private event.
The venue serves hot food and drinks (see further down this page for information), and has music and seating with tables. There is also a website for the venue which is here... lymelightlanes.co.uk, email is info@lymelightlanes.co.uk, and phone number is 01782 638220
Note: This information on this page is accurate as of 23/11/2025 with photos and menus being provided directly by the venue.

Photos
It's useful to know what the venue looks like ahead of time, particularly so you know you've arrived at the right place!

Food and drink
As most socials begin around 6:00pm onwards, the availability of food and drink means people don't need to worry about returning home after work to eat before coming back out again.
We've received details of the hot food and drinks (including alcohol) from the venue and we've converted it into a PDF that you can download below...
