The Netherlands has a long running history of Free Software and related subjects. Still the adoption of Free Software by the government is lacking as this page shows. This page focusses on the public sector for which the efforts have been well documented.

As it turned out the solutions were not ready, the health Minister set Open Source as an additional requirement going forward.
