On Dezember 11th the Vienna Fellowship Group created a new Glühwein recipe, because no other recipe did fit the Fellowship design.
The following recipe Fellowship Glühwein by the Vienna Fellowship Group is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Austria License:
- 4 litres white wine
- 2 litres water
- 11 cinnamon sticks
- 80 cloves (Syzygium aromaticum)
- 6 dashes of orange flavour (or real orange skin)
- 37 sugar cubes
- 1 organic lemon
- 0.175 litres of rum (38% AbV)
- 1 pinch of green food dye
First, put the wine and the water in a big pot and warm it until it starts boiling, but do not keep it cooking. Instead, reduce the heat so that it stays on around 80°C. Now add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange flavour and sugar. Slice the lemon with a kebab knife and put the pieces into the pot. After approx. half an hour turn off the heat and add the rum and food dye.
