On Friday, September 26, the system hackers team discovered a misconfiguration in the wiki setup. The error, if discovered, would have enabled an unauthorised party to read protected pages and user configurations.

It was possible to read the encrypted password hashes of guest users. Registered Fellows, who log in using their Fellowship password were not affected by this. To all others we recommend changing their wiki password as a precaution.

Restructuring of FSFE website

The web team is currently working on a large process for restructuring FSFE's website with a possible future redesign in mind. This is an open process, and we would like to anyone with interest in the websites to join us in this effort.

If you have expertise in this area, and wish to give back to the free software movement, please consider joining the Web team and helping out. FSFE's websites is a constant bottle-neck when it comes to updates, but perhaps also our most important channel of communication.
