I'm pretty excited about this Fellowship wiki.
My thoughts on policies
We'll have to develop policies, but I think we should wait until they are necessary. It's important to wait because following policies is boring. We need as many contributors as possible, so we shouldn't make it difficult to "correctly" contribute. Readers should be able to learn by reading and learn by doing.
Personally, I love telling other people how to do things but we have to resist this temptation and let the wiki contributors develop their own policies over time. The easiest way to develop policies would be to copy policies from Wikipedia, but let's not. Let's think about each issue from our own perspective and look for the best solution for our wiki.
In the mean time, here are some policies I'm thinking about:
- Maybe this wiki should not be used for project promotion. Why? Because projects have their own homepages for that.
Avoid the words "recent" and "currently" - the reader doesn't know what year it was when the author wrote those words. Better to say "As of June 2005" or similar.
